Player Salaries Released! Amnesties allowed!

Player salaries have been created. Financial info can be found here:

The salary system is really good, but can be confusing at first. If you have any questions about the league finances, read the financial section in the rule book and if you have more questions, post away in the forums here.

We will allow an amnesty clause this first year:
-All that the amnesty will do is shorten a player's contract to 1 year
-Unlimited amount of amnesties
-That player, of course, will stay on your roster for the entire year
-You will be able to resign that player at the end off the year
-This clause is only for this season
-Post your amnesties here

This allows teams to get rid of long term contracts that they view as too high. As per the rule book, your Cash Available (which is the amount you have to resign and sign off-season free agents) is Team Cash - Next Year's Salaries. So if you amnesty a player and he now has a 1 year contract, then he is no longer counted in your Next Year's Salaries section. So you will end up having more Cash Available.

Will an announcement occur to provide a season by season listing of planned historical draft class releases? This will likely influence strategies for drops/amnesties now and for future team building/direction.

I have begged Jim to add a page where we could add this type of important information to the UBA program, so that way when you guys download the new league files, all of that data will be in there. He likes the idea, but it will take him some time to get to it. So until then, this is the best I could do!
