New Trade Machine Will Be Released For The Start Of The Season! Empty New Trade Machine Will Be Released For The Start Of The Season!

I've heard some criticism that the Trade Machine allowed owners to take advantage of CPU teams. I disagree with that, as I think that the CPU teams have gotten better because of the trades.

However, all of the players on the 2012 rosters (the one we are using to start out) have conservative estimates for the remainder of their careers. That is, Players should follow play about as well as they have with minor adjustments to their game, year by year. So we will see stable numbers like this:
Code:

Ty Lawson - 2011-12 - 17ppg, 3.9rpg, 6.8ast, 1.4stl, 0blk - (.487/.825/.368)
Ty Lawson - 2010-11 - 12.3ppg, 2.8rpg, 5ast, 1.1stl, 0blk - (.503/.764/.403)
Ty Lawson - 2009-10 - 9.9ppg, 2.3rpg, 3.7ast, 0.9stl, 0blk - (.515/.758/.405)
Ty Lawson - 2013 - 15.4ppg, 3.3rpg, 5.5ast, 1.2stl, 0blk - (.501/.796/.387)
Ty Lawson - 2014 - 16.1ppg, 3.2rpg, 5.8ast, 1.2stl, 0blk - (0.5/.822/.396)
Ty Lawson - 2015 - 16.5ppg, 3.2rpg, 5.6ast, 1.2stl, 0blk - (.497/.822/.418)
Ty Lawson - 2016 - 16.2ppg, 3.3rpg, 5.5ast, 1.1stl, 0blk - (.491/.819/.405)
Ty Lawson - 2017 - 16ppg, 3.2rpg, 5.7ast, 1.1stl, 0blk - (.481/.819/.412)
Ty Lawson - 2018 - 16.7ppg, 3.1rpg, 5.5ast, 1stl, 0blk - (.478/.823/.413)
Ty Lawson - 2019 - 16.5ppg, 3.1rpg, 5.5ast, 1stl, 0blk - (.483/.830/.409)
Ty Lawson - 2020 - 15.3ppg, 3.1rpg, 5.4ast, 1stl, 0blk - (.481/.827/.410)
Ty Lawson - 2021 - 15.1ppg, 3.2rpg, 5.3ast, 0.9stl, 0blk - (.481/.838/.418)
Ty Lawson - 2022 - 14.5ppg, 3.1rpg, 5.2ast, 0.9stl, 0blk - (.476/.829/0.42)
Ty Lawson - 2023 - 14ppg, 3.2rpg, 5.2ast, 0.9stl, 0blk - (.473/.833/.408)

Every player we bring in from this point onward, has their abilities based on their real stats. This means we will see things like this:
Code:

Dale Ellis - 1983-84 - 12.4ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.3ast, 0.9stl, 0.2blk - (.456/.718/.413)
Dale Ellis - 1984-85 - 12.2ppg, 4.3rpg, 1ast, 0.8stl, 0.1blk - (.453/.737/.384)
Dale Ellis - 1985-86 - 11.2ppg, 3.7rpg, 0.8ast, 0.9stl, 0.2blk - (.410/.723/.363)
Dale Ellis - 1986-87 - 25.9ppg, 5.7rpg, 3ast, 1.3stl, 0.4blk - (.516/.788/.356)
Dale Ellis - 1987-88 - 26.9ppg, 4.7rpg, 2.7ast, 1stl, 0.1blk - (.502/.766/.412)
Dale Ellis - 1988-89 - 28.5ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.1ast, 1.4stl, 0.3blk - (.500/.816/.478)
Dale Ellis - 1989-90 - 24.5ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.1ast, 1.1stl, 0.1blk - (.496/.820/.374)
Dale Ellis - 1990-91 - 17.7ppg, 3.6rpg, 2ast, 1stl, 0.2blk - (.473/.725/.361)
Dale Ellis - 1991-92 - 16.6ppg, 3.3rpg, 1.4ast, 0.7stl, 0.2blk - (.469/.773/.419)
Dale Ellis - 1992-93 - 17.4ppg, 4rpg, 1.4ast, 1stl, 0.2blk - (.499/.796/.399)
Dale Ellis - 1993-94 - 15.9ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.1ast, 0.9stl, 0.1blk - (.494/.776/.394)
Dale Ellis - 1994-95 - 12ppg, 2.9rpg, 0.8ast, 0.5stl, 0.1blk - (.453/.864/.402)
Dale Ellis - 1995-96 - 15.6ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.8ast, 0.7stl, 0.1blk - (.478/.762/.412)
Dale Ellis - 1996-97 - 17.3ppg, 3.7rpg, 2.1ast, 0.8stl, 0.1blk - (.414/.820/.363)
Dale Ellis - 1997-98 - 12.5ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.2ast, 0.8stl, 0.1blk - (.495/.781/.460)
Dale Ellis - 1998-99 - 10.9ppg, 2.5rpg, 0.8ast, 0.5stl, 0.1blk - (.440/.754/.432)
Dale Ellis - 1999-00 - 7.6ppg, 2.4rpg, 0.6ast, 0.6stl, 0blk - (.415/.692/.369)
It was the 80's, he was likely doing drugs his first two years in the league

See the huge difference? So, This would not be fair for CPU teams to evaluate a rookie Dale Ellis in his first three years, not knowing that he will explode for a Duh-wayne "We gave Wade a championship and all we got, as refs, was ridiculed" Wade like peak... We would know though!

I'm not sure how I am going to do it, but there will be a much tougher AI for CPU teams once the New Roster is released. Also, there will be a trade block option, for players that are further down on the depth chart (and won't get much playing time). These players will be valued a little less by their teams, as long as you give their positional demands back

ex:
Utah needs a PG
C.J. Miles SG/SF is a 3rd stringer on that team...
So If you offer a PG straight up for Miles, Miles' trade value will be a 68.3
Usually his value is 70.3
